    'Translucent' at best

If you have an idea that you will be able to print a crystal skull, window, costume jewelry or water sculpture with this filament, forget it. The nature of FDM/FFF printing creates a striated, layered surface on both the inside and outside walls, as well as cross-layering within the object. This layering scatters light from transparency to translucency.
Frustratingly, the initial test-blob squirted out by a printer creates a transparent blob. The filament is transparent, but you'll have to print walls one nozzle-width wide to make this happen.
That said, the finished models exhibit all the strength and detail properties that PLA is known for.
