Recently, I sat down with Stacy Hunt to talk about electronic muscles. He's built a DIY kit for makers wanting to work with them at home and what's unique about his solution, is that they self heal.
Usually, a tiny hole in the elastomer means it's burnt out but these contracting little guys kept pumping after an application of an oil and a little relaxation time.
They really become useful when rolled into tubes or layered into piles and in the second half you can see what Stacy has been up to here.
