Meet Ben Beattie, an 11-year old boy who wants to share something awesome to the world. Ben has put together small business called Learn2Print. You can catch him on his Facebook page. He says, “My goal with Learn2Print is to teach young and old how to design and 3d print their own models for only $35!” He goes on to say, “I have been working on this project for over 3 months now and finally I am open for business!” What a charming young man!
What’s in this for you? Ben Beattie said, “The package includes: 1 and a half hours of getting to know, using and designing models for the 3d printer (I am using the Ultimaker Original that Tim [The MindKits Chief] lent me!), your own physical model that you designed, and a nice certificate of achievement!” Certificate of achievement?! That’s what sold me! Tim said, “Ben is a really gifted kid with a passion for 3d printing… This is a kid taking a chance, putting in time to learn a skill and build his own business around sharing the knowledge of 3d printing.”
What could be more admirable than a kid who has an eagerness this early to share something awesome to the world? Not only does he have the eagerness; he also put up the means to make it happen!
